- networking design/installation/configuration/administration. Also monitored
security environments. Very fluent with Cisco, (but not Cisco
exclusive) Network Equipment and protocols. Limited Cisco VOIP Network
Engineering.

Networking
Security Monitoring And Applications Usage And Appliance Experience: Cisco ACS software. I was the sole installer – Designer
and administrator of SolarwindÕs Orion Network Monitor software. Monitoring the
entire CountyÕs 30+ remote Metro-E sites, 1800+ end users, and 84 daily VPN
IP-Sec clients. Monitored connectivity while using the ÒMS
AD trust authentication between separate MicrosoftÕs AD domains trusts. (For example The
County and CityÕs Microsoft Active Directory Domain ÒtrustsÓ)
The Solarwinds Orion product which
sends scheduled or on-demand reports of subnet bandwidth analysis, (network
bottle-necks) and problem areas.
FortinetÕs Fortigate 310B in
tandem with FortinetÕs 100C provides for traffic
analysis and Òby per-userÓ data network usage and reporting. This particular device was/is used for Òreal-timeÓ
Log analysis and Òreal-timeÕ reporting. Reports generated by the FortigateÕs equipment produces easily interpreted
Ògraphically easy to follow displayÕ which are easily understood for and by
managerial staff who may not understand clearly enough todayÕs
modern network complexity.
These reports which depicts the utilization of the organizationÕs overall condition
and state of their network
A very huge advantage of SolarWinds reporting from The
Fortigates
-are also utilized to analyze trends and send/notify if /in Òreal-timeÓ
alerts for DLP ÒData Leak PreventionÓ(SSN, Credit Card #s) when it sees critical content such
as SSNÕs that were sent in clear-text which is traversing the organizations
network traffic –in and out. (For example critical information that
should not have been sent clear/text in an outbound email.)
Also responsible for the installing/deploying/and administrating OrionÕs Netflow Plug-in, and IP-Address database administrator.
Network Fault Troubleshooting :
Ethereal (or Wireshark) for network packet analysis,
and trouble-shooting network diagnostics.
Is used to also alert for DLP ÒData Leak Prevention (SSN clear-text
detection) traversing the organizations network traffic. OrionÕs Netflow Plug-in, and IP-Address database administration. Ethereal (Wireshark) for network packet
analysis, and diagnosis. Very
fluent with CiscoÕs RMON for monitoring Òremote sessionsÓ across a network.
